Mayor Avila’s Priorities
-

Strong Infrastructure & Smart Growth
We’ll finish the job on stormwater improvements, road upgrades, and responsible development — so our growth strengthens our city, not strains it.
-

Downtown Deltona & Commercial Growth
We started the city’s first Downtown Redevelopment Plan—now let’s bring it to life with restaurants, shops, and a walkable city center that drives economic development.
-

Maternity / Children’s Hospital
Families shouldn’t have to leave Deltona for specialized care. We’re working to bring a pediatric and maternity hospital to our city — creating better health outcomes and good-paying jobs.
-

Finish Updating and Modernizing our Land Development Code
We need to finish updating our land development codes and make sure it’s putting #Deltona1st!
-

State-of-the-Art Recreational Facility
Improve and upgrade our recreational facilities and Parks. I want to identify grant funding in order to open a state-of-the-art Recreational Facility for youth sports. Kids shouldn’t be turned away from the basketball league, and our staff need adequate facilities in which to work and plan activities.
-

Glow-in-the-Dark Park
Deltona deserves parks that shine. From renovations to new innovative ideas like a Glow-in-the-Dark Park, we’re prioritizing safe, exciting spaces for our families and youth.
